the flashing required deletion of emmc and one more red file
then it went fine

Quick answers –
Rajesh meena – sorry, i was wrong earlier, this belle firmware supports user data preservation, which other firmwares didn’t support when flashed via phoenix, but i will still recommend and hard format to keep the files leaner.
Sameer – i can’t comment on that as i haven’t tried downgrading it, but i can assure you that after switching to belle, you really wouldn’t want to downgrade to anna.
One quick comment too – battery seems to be improved especially because now we can turn wifi or mobile data connection or both off.
The phone has also become very snappy.
One thing i would like to point out is that after switching to belle, the screen real estate has become a bit smaller, especially in apps like whatsapp which aren’t qt based.
Other new apps like qute-tube, fmobi and etc look very fluid and curvy :-p.

Hey ayush…i want to know the changelog in the belle… i have googled quite a lot but couldn find the answer.. are all the s\w issues currently in the e6 fixed…mainly
1) is there a search song option in the music player
2)is the notification light fixed(is it as good as “REMIND ME”
3)is it much faster and smoother(how?)
4)is the proximity sensor response time faster
5)what is the battery life like… how many extra hours does it last when compared to anna

Ive found a bug….i think ^^
this morning i enabled the screensaver and ive had 3 blackscreens today. the touchscreen doenst react and ive had to reboot the phone….without screensaver there is no problem….
Is there an opition to configure the language and the keyboard to portuguese?
and what about the e6 pre installed apps? are joikusopt premium and dictionary still there in belle?

there is no solution for this problem. when you face this problem just go to battery icon and activate the power saving mode and then immediately deactivate it. this is a temp solution. ‘connection failed’ will only occur next time when you turn off and turn on the mobile. then repeat the same step.

cause is unknown, probably a software conflict. not sure about the belle update because i haven’t tried the belle as yet.
It happens when an application is trying to connect to internet and connection in not working. when you turn power saving on, it sets network mode from dual to gsm. so there is no network for a while and this notification is removed.
So everyone with Belle update on your phones, share with us your opinion about this unoffical update.

Although some of the new widgets offer new functionality I don’t like the size of some of the widgets (calendar, email, music player). They are too big for the e6 screen (you can only add two more program icons to a home screen when you have added the calendar or email widget), I hope this will be changed in the final version. They also introduced a new menu bar for the browser at the bottom. Result: There is not much space left for reading the actual web page!
With Belle emails can be zoomed in both directions: With Anna I could only increase the size. All apps that I used with Anna work with Belle as well.
I have used it now for one week and I can say that Belle is already quite stable.

I don’t have a change log yet. Regarding the notification light problem: This will be fixed through hardware change (keymat) in the nokia care centers. After the keymat has been changed it looks like this:

hi i just installed belle on my E6 i will answer ur questions.
1) couldn’t find this option.. but u can search song by using the search app in the main menu
2) The notification light is a bit brighter but still useless in daylight
3) Yes it is, switching between apps is faster but ive just flashed.. maybe it will get more sluggish with more apps installed over time.
4) never cared about it so i wont be able to answer this one
5) From 7am till 5pm my battery went from 100 to 50% with anna i would be at 80%
Again: The notification light problem won’t be fixed through a software update. You have to go to your nokia care point. They will change the keymat.

I’m not from India. The keymat change is covered by warranty, so the change is free of charge. Of course it is available worldwide, you should contact Nokia India if your local Nokia Care Center doesn’t know about it.

One more thing. On MY E6 Anna default scren saver(big clock) don’t work. It’s show up for few seconds, after i lock my phone, than disspear and screen is black.
As i know this is not just problem on my phone…
Is that fixed in Anna?

That’s normal behaviour for the E6 in order to save battery life, screensaver stays only visible on AMOLED phones. But you can change this with an app called “Lock Screen” from the nokia store. You can configure this app in a way that the apps own screensaver stays visible all the time. But this will reduce your battery life significantly.

Yeah, I remember now. I installed lock screen some times ago, but problem of this app is, that screensaver is visible, but keyboard light is on too, so that is way battery life is so reduced…
Just for Information: its possible to downgrade Belle back to Anna 🙂 i tried it and it works 🙂

The Employee said to wait, because he needs to ask his boss: after a while he came back and said that they are watching the trends on Mobile phones, and if there are enough Users, then they will surely make a Symbian^3 Version.
So if you guys are interested in having Team-viewer for Symbian^3 Phones, then write them an Email with your request and share this cause on your wall. Maybe we can make it happen.
